Welcome to our online monthly update
for GFG customers and partners
In this issue the focus is on our launch of an innovative new outsourced credit and debit card service in Australia. As you'll see in the full story below, CIT Group is the first customer and we are in live negotiations with a number of other prospective customers attracted by our keen pricing and rapid implementation capability. Supporting this launch, our monthly Goldfinch Report, looks at outsourcing trends in the global card market. As usual, these sometimes controversial reports carry the disclaimer that they represent the personal opinion of Peter Goldfinch, rather than the views necessarily of GFG Group. We hope you'll find this
update worthwhile. Please do send me your comments and
feedback here and
please do subscribe others
as appropriate.
Best regards,

The new service is designed to make it fast and affordable for new card entrants – such as building societies, smaller banks and finance companies – to launch their own differentiated card products. Outsourcing: silver bullet or golden handcuffs?
In this issue of The Goldfinch Report, GFG Group’s general manager for South East Asia, Peter Goldfinch, puts the pros and cons of outsourcing of credit and debit card services under the microscope. Outsourcing, he concludes, is not a silver bullet but can be an excellent way for new entrants to test and establish card-based services in the market without high capital investment. In selecting an outsourcing partner, there should be a match in size and in culture. And, those considering the outsourcing option should ensure an exit strategy is worked out before committing. A sound pre-nuptial contract is recommended. Read the latest Goldfinch Report |
