GFG GROUP | PAYMENT SOLUTIONS YOU CAN BANK ON

Welcome to our online monthly update
for GFG customers and partners

In this issue we look at how ASB Bank used GFG:FINsim to take what it describes as an 'exponential leap' forward in its ability to test new code and predict system behaviour. The story titled 'GFG Group signs million dollar deal' is kindly reprinted from the front page of Computerworld - it provides a newsy roundup of recent market activity. This month's Goldfinch Report analyses the dead bodies of failed prepaid or stored value payment schemes, and contrasts them with some notable successes. As usual, these sometimes controversial reports carry the disclaimer that they represent the personal opinion of Peter Goldfinch, rather than the views necessarily of GFG Group. We hope you'll find this update worthwhile. Please do send me your comments and feedback here and please do subscribe others as appropriate.

Best regards,

ASB Bank must deliver a banking service that maintains 99.995% availability 365 days of the year to its customers. The ability to conduct accurate testing is critical to achieving such high availability. ASB Bank’s testing requirements span everything from new code and new functionality, to analysing system performance under different loading, and the testing of individual system components such as switches and databases.

Mobile Wallet - Why a Card

Why would a mobile wallet be successful when so many other prepaid payment instruments have failed? Who will place funds into a mobile wallet where access is limited? In this issue of The Goldfinch Report, GFG Group’s general manager for South East Asia, Peter Goldfinch, applies his usual no holds barred approach to answering the above questions – and more.  Peter’s credentials have been earned over 23 years experience in electronic payments, including pioneering work on ATMs and Eftpos, and the introduction of credit and debit cards to Russia.
