Bendigo Bank project wins recognition

GFG Group has won the 2004 Card Smart Award for outstanding achievement in the Australian and New Zealand cards industry.
GFG Group's award recognized a major project at Bendigo Bank. GFG's GFG:UniCARD software, supported by consulting and implementation services, assisted Bendigo extend and grow it's merchant settlement system and bring it in-house. This was achieved against a backdrop of regulatory change which accentuated the needs and timeliness of the project.
The Card Smart Award, now in its fourth year, is awarded to a company selected as the most outstanding achiever by an independent judging panel of cards industry experts. Award criteria include competitiveness, contribution to industry, customer and merchant acceptance, implementation / market growth, innovation, financial performance, sustainability, technology and time to market.
GFG Group Australia managing director Wayne Robinson says the Card Smart Award is made each year at the Cards and Payment Symposium, held this year on 20th January in Melbourne and attended by senior representatives from major Australian banks and financial institutions.
"This is fantastic recognition for GFG Group. It basically acknowledges that the work we did with Bendigo Bank was outstanding across a wide range of technical and business measures. It's a great boost," Wayne Robinson says.
Both the Card Smart Award and the Cards and Payment Symposium are organised by Card Smart Consulting Ltd, the leading card consulting company in Australia.
